Ian Juby - Artistic Director
Ian Juby has been artistic director for the Kingston Capital Men's Chorus since it's inception in 2009. He began singing lessons with Marie Moir at an early age, continuing until after he graduated from Kingston Collegiate and Vocational Institute. Ian studied as a voice major at Western University in London, Ontario. While at Western Ian was a member of the Faculty of Music Singers and the newly formed Opera Workshop. He studied conducting with Lanse MacDowell, Deral Johnston, Gerry Summers, Wayne Strongman and Wayne Riddell; and with Joseph Flummerfelt at the renowned Westminster Choir College in New Jersey.
Ian retired recently following a 30-year career teaching music and grooming award-winning choirs, bands and musicals in high schools from Picton to Kingston. He is chorus master for the Kingston Choral Society and music director for the annual Kinsmen musical at the Grand Theatre, Kingston, Ontario. Ian is director for the Limestone Chorale and marks his second year as a conductor with the North Lakeshore Chorus, Canada. He also maintains an active voice studio in Kingston.

Scott Davey - Accompanist

Scott Davey is a musician, teacher, composer, singer/songwriter. He is a music teacher at Frontenac Secondary School.  He is married to singer Maryanne Wainman.  When not making music you can find him cycling to Gan, running on K & P trail, or swimming at Maryanne's cottage on Buck Lake.  He is thrilled to get to make music with such a dedicated group and of course Ian Juby!
